Deck/Light Service Steward

A new permanent position is opening in Cape Town, for a male deck/light service steward within a fleet of yachts. This position would be suitable for anyone capable of operating as a sole deck/stew, with assistance of an additional stewardess within the fleet. The yachts currently operate out of the Cape Grace marina, at the V&A waterfront. Requirements include some yachting experience, hospitality experience, a driver's license and own car, willingness to commit to 1+ years onboard, valid STCW and seafarer medical, PWC license (must be willing to obtain if you get the job), and Day skipper (or higher) in hand, or be willing to obtain if you get the job. The program is looking to train up a junior skipper for the right candidate, which would require a longer commitment to the program. Working hours are 09h00 - 15h00 weekdays, with weekends and public holidays off unless there is a trip on those days. Shortlisted candidates will be invited onboard for a trial period (time TBC).
